One of our alumni, Sarah Li (Class of 2016), recently visited St. Andrew’s and donated copies of a children’s book that she wrote and had published.
“Holy Vulcan” is written in Chinese and English, and is published by China Tushu Publishing Limited. It is a fantasy story about Hanna and Irene who were traveling in Longmont County with their teacher and classmates and came across some interesting cabins. Curious, they went into one cabin and discovered beautiful paper that was cut into designs and porcelain. The owner of the paper cuts was an elderly man, who explained the history behind the paper cuts. They also found a piece of animal skin that was engraved with a mythical creature. The elderly man showed the nearby wall which was engraved with pictures depicting the legend of the mythical creature on the animal skin.
Thank you Sarah for sharing your book with us! We are proud of your accomplishment!
