DRESS CODE

As per the Parent Handbook, the uniform components required for each student are:

Nursery - students wear play clothes.

PreK and Kindergarten 

  • SAA Gym Suit
  • White Socks
  • Sneakers
  • SAA Shorts and T-Shirt in warm weather

Girls Uniform Grades 1 to 4

  • Plaid Jumper
  • Navy Trousers (from November 1 - April 30)
  • Navy 2 Pleat Skort may be worn in September and October as well as in May and June.
  • White Peter Pan Collar Blouse
  • Navy Knee Socks or Leotards/Tights
  • Black Shoes (no platforms; boots or sneakers)

Girls Uniform Grades 5 - 8

  • Plaid Skirt (Skirts should come to the top of the knee – NO HIGHER)
  • Navy Trousers (from November 1 to April 30)
  • Navy 2 Pleat Skort may be worn in September and October as well as in May and June.
  • White Banded-Bottom Polo Shirt
  • Navy Knee Socks or Leotards/Tights
  • Black Loafers (no platforms or heels higher than 2 inches; no boots or sneakers)

Boys Uniform Grades 1 - 8

  • Khaki Pants 
  • Khaki Walking Shorts may be worn in September and October as well as May and June.
  • White Polo Shirts for Grades 1 - 4
  • Dark Navy Polo Shirt for Grades 5 - 8,
  • Black Belt
  • Black Socks 
  • Black Dress Shoes (no boots or sneakers)

All uniform components must be purchased at Flynn and O’Hara, the official store for St. Andrew Avellino Catholic Academy school uniforms. You may purchase uniforms at their store location in Glendale, NY, or online at www.flynnohara.com/school/ny563.

GYM UNIFORM

On the day the class is scheduled for gym, students in grades 1 - 8 are to come to school in their gym uniform. 

Both boys and girls wear a St. Andrew Avellino gold gym t-shirt and St. Andrew Avellino hunter green sweatpants. 

During the months of September, October, May, and June students may wear St. Andrew Avellino hunter green shorts instead of sweatpants. 

In the colder weather, they may also wear a St. Andrew Avelino crew neck sweatshirt. These items can be purchased in school or at Flynn O’Hara. 

If they still fit, students may still wear the old grey gym uniform with kelly green St. Andrew’s t-shirt.
