8th Grader wins 1st prize

Congratulations to our 8th grader, HuaYi!

From winning first prize to receiving an official certificate, HuaYi's talent has taken her places she never imagined. We can't wait to see where her creativity takes her next!

HuaYi won the first prize in the 10th Youth World Cup Painting Competition earlier this year. As a result, she was invited this summer to the United Nations to receive an official certificate and to participate in a 2-hour conference that focused on the Sustainable Development Goals Summit and the Summit of the Future.

The Youth World Cup Painting Competition is a global youth and children's painting competition initiated by the Organizing Committee of Youth World Cup Painting Competition and firstly and officially supported by UNICEF. The competition aims to build the friendship between the international youth, promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and fully develop and display their artistic accomplishment and talent.

From 2012, Canada Youth Arts Development Foundation organized The Youth World Cup Painting Competition to benefit UNICE’s “School-in-a-Box” Programme. With the influential supports, the global charitable event had donated in total 850 “School-in-a-Box” which can provide 34,000 underprivileged children the access to education.
