Class of 2023 - President's Award for Educational Excellence and Achievement

At this year’s graduation ceremony, 15 students from Class of 2023 were honored with the President’s Award for Educational Excellence, and 7 students were honored with the President’s Award for Educational Achievement.

These awards are the Nation’s most prestigious awards for individual recognition from the President and the U.S. Secretary of Education. The deserving students are recognized for their outstanding efforts that have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence.

The President’s Award for Educational Excellence acknowledges students’ academic success in the classroom. Eligible students must meet requirements, including grade point average (90+) or school-set criteria, and either high achievement in state tests or teacher recommendations. Additional criteria may include activities in which a student demonstrates high motivation, initiative, integrity, intellectual depth, leadership qualities and/or exceptional judgment.

The President’s Award for Educational Achievement acknowledges students who show outstanding educational growth, improvement, commitment or intellectual development in their academic subjects but do not meet the criteria for the Educational Excellence Award. The principal has sole discretion in selecting the students who meet criteria developed by the school. This award is meant to encourage and reward students who work hard and give their best effort in school.

Congratulations to the award recipients!
