About this Event

Dear Parents, 

TRADITION, an important element in keeping an Academy and Community alive and full of spirit.  Twenty-one years ago, we started a Tradition that builds Academy spirit, and  activity that all children can participate in and enjoy. 

On Friday, May 26th, all our students (friends and family) will be invited to help us raise money for our Academy.  The students will ask friends and family to sponsor them underwriting their commitment to their WALK.  This is an opportunity for others in our lives and communities to help meet the cost of educating our future adults. 

We are asking each student to obtain a minimum contribution of $75.  We are hoping to reach our goal of $15,000.

The prize for the student with the highest amount collected in the lower grades (N-4) and upper grades (5-8) will be a $100 gift card for the merchant of their choice.

Route Info:  We will begin at the Academy gym doors and move north to 35th Avenue to Bowne Park at 1:15 p.m, crossing 35th, 33rd and 32nd Avenues.  Then we will walk the perimeter of the Park.

* We have notified the 109th Pct and requested for their assistance in crossing the students. 

Please use Sponsorship Form to secure donations from friends and family.  Please return all money NO LATER THAN MAY 20th to the Office in an envelope marked WALK-A_THON with your child’s name and grade.
