SNEAKER DRIVE FUNDRAISER - Runs through the end of the school year

Did you know most people throw away their unwanted sneakers after 250-400 miles, or every 125-200 days, without ever thinking about recycling?

Since sneakers are manufactured with materials that are not biodegradable, they remain in landfills or are incinerated which leads to toxic chemicals in our air and soil.  The EPA estimates that 200-300 million pairs of shoes are thrown into our landfills each year contaminating our environment.

St. Andrew Avellino Parish and St. Andrew Avellino Catholic Academy have partnered with GotSneakers to raise money for Catholic Education by recycling your unwanted sneakers.

It's easy to participate! Donate your unwanted sneakers hiding in your closet to us and we turn them into GotSneakers who recycles them! You're not only helping us but also the environment, as GotSneakers helps keep sneakers out of landfills.

Please bring in your sneakers and deposit them in the bins at the entrances of the Parish or Academy.

GUIDELINES

• Only sneaker pairs can be accepted (no single shoes).
• We cannot accept non-athletic shoes.
• We take adult and kid sizes.

• Basketball
• Gym & Training
• Cleats (Rubber soles only)
• Lifestyle & Casual
• Hiking & Trail

PREFERRED SNEAKER CONDITIONS

• New or like new
• Gently used
• Minor to noticeable signs of use
• Integrity of the sneaker is fully intact
• No holes, rips, tears, separated soles, etc.

Adidas, Allbirds, Altra, APL, Asics, Brooks, Columbia, Converse All-Stars, Fila, Hoka One One, Jordan, Keen, Merrell, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, On, Puma, Reebok, Salomon, SAS, Saucony, Skechers, Sorel, Timberland, Topo, Under Armour, Vans
